What he signed, and what is waiting on a vote.

Congress does not pass “every bill.” It introduces thousands. Most die in committee. The National Archives list runs through Public Law 119-121, approved October 9, 2026. A lot of those laws rename a building. This page is the ones people actually asked about.

Epstein

Law passed. Release incomplete.

  1. November 18, 2025. The House votes 427–1 for the Epstein Files Transparency Act. Clay Higgins of Louisiana is the no vote. The Senate clears the same bill that day.
  2. November 19, 2025. He signs it. Public Law 119-38. He had fought the bill, then switched.
  3. December 19, 2025. The Justice Department posts hundreds of thousands of pages. Large parts are redacted.
  4. January 30, 2026. About three million more pages. The department calls it the last large release.

JFK, and the other two

Ordered open. Not fully open.

  1. January 23, 2025. Executive Order 14176 tells the intelligence director and the attorney general to plan the release of remaining records on President Kennedy, Senator Kennedy, and Dr. King.
  2. March 18, 2025. The National Archives posts the classified JFK set. The Associated Press counted about 2,200 files and more than 63,000 pages. The intelligence director described about 80,000 pages with the classification redactions lifted.
  3. What is still held: records under a court seal, grand jury secrecy, and a tax-code rule. The Archives said more FBI records were digitized through June 2025, with grand jury redactions still required by the JFK Act.

UAP

House passed a framework. It is not law.

  1. People asked for an independent board, and a way for witnesses to talk without getting crushed.
  2. July 22, 2026. The House adopts Rep. Eric Burlison’s UAP Disclosure Act as an amendment to the 2027 defense bill, H.R. 8800. The bill passed 216–212. If it became law it would create a National Archives collection, a Senate-confirmed review board, and rules for contractors.
  3. It is not law. The Senate left to campaign. The defense bill was pushed to the lame-duck session after the November election.
  4. H.R. 5060, a separate whistleblower bill, was referred to Oversight, Armed Services, and Intelligence. As of August 31, 2026, Congress.gov showed no markup and no floor vote on that bill.
  5. The Pentagon has been posting files under PURSUE, the White House program, since May 8, 2026. A science panel is reading them. The New York Times, on October 2, said the pages so far are not proof of nonhuman technology.
